Updates on BTS Stuff & BushZone's VisionJuly 3rd, 2025

Hi everyone, Bush here. Been a while again since I last put out anything on this website but I haven't forgotten about it—far from it, actually.

First and foremost, I've been considering BushZone's purpose for the past while and what I want to do with it. Its core purpose since 2021 was to be a portfolio and personal space of sorts, where I show off my work and write posts about whatever I'm feeling like; think of it like a personal blog but with more than just blogs. However, I've recently changed the vision I had for BushZone to be less about myself and to be more like a social hub. Let me explain.

I recently completed my Bachelor's Degree in Game Design where I specialised in Unity C# programming, and around the end of my course, I started actively seeking to improve my coding skills for a new junior programming position at a company I started at through my course as well as my drive to take on more advanced projects. However, this drive doesn't just stop at Unity C#—I've also wanted to learn web design, which is why I started BushZone in the first place. I had the idea recently of combining these two skillsets together, and so I came up with a new vision for BushZone: a social hub with forums and (maybe) community chatrooms, with the choice of using either the website or a dedicated BushZone app simply dubbed The BushZone App.

This is a huge project that will completely overhaul the way BushZone works and will probably take a good while to complete, but I have some pretty big ideas for this website that I'll be working on in my own time, so stick around for updates on that (also, this blog section will be moved to a dedicated Blog page which you can already see in the topbar and will use some automation in the backend such as CGI scripts).

In other news, CoralCMD now has a Discord server, so if you want to interact with the CoralCMD community, find the link on the CoralCMD website at www.coralcmd.net/community.html.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Update: New Themes and Systems ChangeoverMay 15th, 2024 // Updated May 16th, 2024

Hey everyone, we've just made some updates to the website both on the domain host's end and on BushZone, which I'll quickly go over here.

First and foremost, we've had a systems changeover, moving away from Moondust and into a more powerful system, CoralCMD. The new domain URL is https://coralcmd.net, and the domain host is in the process of setting up a homepage. This also means that my email has been changed over; you can now contact me by emailing bush@coralcmd.net.

For news on BushZone, I've created some new themes, with one replacing the original Space theme as the default theme. These themes include:

I've got a ton of other planned changes to work on, such as adding new pages for showing off the different types of work I do, as well as moving this blog into its own dedicated "blog" page. These will be coming later on and will take some time, and I'll provide an update when more stuff has been added.

Quick Update: Planned Website Upgrades/AdditionsOctober 27th, 2023

Hi, this is just a quick update about some things me and Molly (the owner of Moondust) have been working on for BushZone.

Firstly, we've been working together on implementing a Common Gateway Interface (CGI) script into the standard and (hopefully) basic homepage, which will allow me to make these posts in their own dedicated data files (not .txt files, though I kinda wish it was) instead of just using plain HTML like I have been for the past two years. You can click here to see what has been set up with the CGI script so far. Alongside this, we will also be implementing a system that sets a specific number of posts to display per page, with the current setting being 5 posts per page. When we complete the CGI script, we will immediately replace the standard HTML version of the homepage with the CGI version.

Secondly, this is just a small one, Moondust's domain was renamed from unix.moondust.dev to moondust.dev a while back, so my new email is bush@moondust.dev. Lastly, I've been working on some of the pages on this website, such as the basic pages designed to work with older systems (specifically tested on the Nintendi DSi browser). I'm also planning to complete the Repository page and add a new Divisions page for my other work.

All is in due time, so stick around to see it happen.

"Are we live again?"December 2022

Is this thing on? It is? Alright, cool.

Hey everyone, Bush here. I just want to start off by saying I can't believe how long we've been offline for. The last update I made to this page was in June of 2021, back when I was still in high school (before I even graduated). That's just crazy to think about. It's been around a year and a half since then, and I'm now in college studying for a Bachelor's Degree in Game Development. Things change fast, huh? Well anyway, one big reason why we've been offline for all this time is because the server owner and dear friend of mine, hex7c, runs the server on physical hardware instead of renting a domain (I admire the dedication to the craft), and they've had problems with the server throughout this past year and a half. Things were constantly changing, going up and down, it was all over the place. But hey, we're back now, and hopefully this time it stays up for a good while longer than last time.

In other news, you might've already noticed that some things have changed, starting from how you accessed this site in the first place. Yes, plutozone.xyz has been laid to rest and has been replaced with the current domain, unix.moondust.dev. A little bit of a longer url, but pretty much nothing else of how to access this site has changed. We've also changed the email addresses we use! I originally had two email addresses that you could contact me from (one was internal, meaning you could only contact me there if you had an email on the same domain, and an external one, meaning you could contact me however, with Gmail or anything), but now there's just one email that you can contact me through any method.

My new email address is bush@unix.moondust.dev. Go ahead and flick me an email, and I'll try to reply when I can.

Other than that, now that the website is back up, I'll start work on this website again in my free time to complete it and add new sections. Feel free to stick around, and thanks for stopping by!

Back From The DeadJune 2021

Hey there, Bush speaking. If you noticed something wasn't right with the website, that's because a pretty big issue arose at the Plutozone HQ. From what I gathered after talking to Hex, Mr Plutozone himself, all web directories on the server were accidentally deleted, as well as the backup for said web directories on said server. Fortunately, I had a complete backup of my web directory stored locally (on my own device), so no damage was dealt on my side. Unfortunately, Hex's side wasn't as lucky, as it was deleted with everything else. I am currently working with Hex to resolve this mishap, and hopefully we can get this fixed pretty soon.

If you want to talk to Hex and get some insight on what happened, feel free to flick him an email at 0x7c@plutozone.xyz. Alternatively, you can flick me an email (my email addresses are listed under the 'Website Under Construction' article, for now) and I'll tell you what I know. Thanks for being patient with this issue.

Website Under ConstructionMay 2021

Hi there! My name is Bush, but you might also know me and PenguinVEVO - I am a good friend of Hex's. There's not much here at the moment, but more is planned to come. If you have any questions, flick an email to these email addresses:

Internal - bush@srv.plutozone.xyz
External - penguinvevo@plutozone.xyz

I'm actively working on this website for two reasons: to sharpen my skills of coding with HTML and CSS (and maybe JS sometime down the road), and to build a professional portfolio and fulfill the areas of self-interest learning through my school. I hope to be able to make a fully working website with plenty of bells and whistles by the time I begin to build my professional portfolio, so if there's anywhere I can improve upon, like for example, you see an error/bug or two somewhere in the website, or something in the code that could be improved upon (maybe for optimization), don't hesitate to flick an email to the emails provided above, as it would help a lot.

Thanks for stopping by!
